We care deeply about the environment and are committed to reducing our impact on the planet. Here’s how we ensure that our jewelry and practices are as sustainable as possible:

All our handmade jewelry is crafted in our home studio in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

We strive for 100% reusable and recyclable packaging materials, using only what’s necessary to protect your pieces.

We use sustainably cultured freshwater pearls, grown in ways that minimize harm to the environment. All sea glass is picked up from legal sea glass beaches to help clean the ocean. Furthermore, The shells we use are naturally found dead shells, ensuring no harm to marine life. Lastly, all shark teeth in our designs are genuine fossilized teeth.

This all includes only collecting materials that have already washed up on the shore and avoiding areas that are home to endangered species.
We believe that sustainability should extend to every aspect of our business, including shipping. That's why we re-use packaging, or use eco-friendly packaging materials and strive to minimize our carbon footprint. Here are some of the ways we're making our shipping more sustainable:

Shipping & Returns
Shipping
We ship all packages within 72 hours on business days. Please note that pre-order and made-to-order items may take up to 10 business days to create and ship.
Once your order has shipped, you'll receive a track-and-trace link if you've chosen a tracked shipping option. Our primary carrier is PostNL, though this may change depending on the destination country.
Shipping Costs and Delivery Time
Shipping costs vary by destination. You can view the exact shipping costs in your cart. The track and trace will give you the best indication of when to expect your package. Here’s a general overview of delivery times by zone:
ZONE 1: Delivers in 1-3 business days after fulfillment. Including: The Netherlands
ZONE 2: Delivers in 3-5 business days after fulfillment.. Including: Austria, Belgium, Denmark (excl. Faroe Islands and Greenland), France (incl. Corsica and Monaco), Germany, Italy (excl. San Marino and Vatican City), Luxembourg, Spain (incl. Balearic Islands, excl. Canary Islands), Sweden.
ZONE 3: Delivers in 5-9 business days. Including: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Liechtenstein, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Republic of Kosovo, Vatican City.
ZONE 4: Delivers in 3-9 business days. Including: Andorra, Belarus, Bulgaria, Canary Islands, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, Greece, Greenland, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Norway, Poland, Portugal (incl. Azores and Madeira), Romania, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom (incl. Channel Islands and Gibraltar)
ZONE 5: Delivers in 5-12 business days after fulfillment. Including: Argentina, Colombia, Curaçao, India, Iraq, South Africa, Suriname, Taiwan, Vietnam, The rest of world.
ZONE 6: Delivers in 4-12 business days after fulfillment. Including: Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Hongkong, Indonesië, Japan, Lebanon, Morocco, New Zealand, Russia, South Korea, Thailand, United States.

Tracking
Usually two options are given for shipping. One is uninsured (Untracked or Tracked option), and one is insured (Insured & Tracked). We advise choosing the Insured & Tracked option.
Uninsured:
If an uninsured package is lost, Themidkids is not responsible for contacting the carrier. However, we are happy to assist via email. Because the buyer chooses the uninsured option, they are assuming the risk of the package being lost in transit. In this case, the buyer is responsible for contacting the shipping company and for covering any associated costs.

Insured:
When an insured package gets lost, Themidkids helps contact the shipping company. This way we can figure out the best solution together. We always recommend choosing the Insured & Tracking option to make sure you receive your package. When receiving the Tracked & Insured package, the buyer signs for delivery.

Returns Policy
We want you to love your purchase! If you're not happy with your order, you can return it within 14 days of receiving it.

How to Return

Contact us: Email us at themidkidsco@gmail.com to register your return. Make sure to include your order number.

Package the item: Ensure the item is unworn, undamaged, and in its original packaging.

Ship it back: Use a tracked shipping method and keep proof of shipment, as you're responsible if the return package is lost or damaged.

Important Notes:

Return shipping costs are the buyer's responsibility. Be sure to keep your tracking number as proof in case of any disputes.

Refunds are only issued for items returned in their original condition—unworn, undamaged, and with all packaging intact.

If the item is damaged or shows any signs of wear, we won’t be able to process the refund.
Once we receive your return and verify its condition, we’ll issue a refund for the purchase price.​

Legal Information
As a Dutch webshop, we follow Dutch consumer protection laws. This gives you the ability to return items within 14 days of receipt, provided they are in their original condition.
Exchanges
We currently do not offer exchanges. However, you can return your item and place a new order for the correct product.​
Warranty
Warranty
We want you to enjoy your pieces for as long as possible! That's why all pieces come with a 6-month warranty, excluding damages of normal wear and tear. To help you care for your items, we include a care card with every order.

Have a defective item?
If your item has a defect, we’re here to help. Keep in mind that the defect must have existed at the time of delivery and not be the result of normal wear and tear or damage caused by use.
